The duties of the elected and appointed officers are:

  1. Chair
    • The term of Chair shall be one year, then afterwards, shall assume the title of Hero of CHAGI.
    • Shall preside, or their designate, over all official meetings of CHAGI.
    • Shall administer the Constitution, By-Laws, policies, and procedures of CHAGI.
    • Shall maintain a copy of the most updated version of the Constitution and the By-Laws with the Secretary.
    • Shall preside over the board
  2. Secretary
    • Shall keep records and deposit organization funds for the CHAGI. Accounts should reflect the financial condition, transactions, assets, liabilities, properties, receipts disbursements, gains, losses, and financial trends of the organization. Depositories and valuables shall be in the name of CHAGI.
    • Shall keep or cause to be kept a register that shows names, addresses, and phone numbers of the current Board.
    • Shall maintain a copy of the most updated version of the Constitution and the By-Laws with the Chair.
  3. Treasurer
    • Shall keep records of and deposit organization funds for CHAGI. Accounts should reflect the financial condition, transactions, assets, liabilities, properties, receipts disbursements, gains, losses, and financial trends of the organization. Depositories and valuables shall be in the name of CHAGI.
    • Tracks incoming and outgoing monies
    • Makes bank deposits and withdrawals as authorized by the board
    • Accountable for holding money until deposited into the bank account of record.
    • Reports financial health to board.
    • Verifies Expenses Reports for authorized activities and Reimburses membership for expenses.
    • Shall render reports and accounting to the general membership.
  4. Director of Events
    • Keep track of event scheduling on a master calendar so as to prevent conflict.
    • Finds person who will
    • Plan and Communicate a specific event for CHAGI
    • Communicate
    • Gather volunteers
    • Track Participation
    • Schedules Events,
    • Sets/Tracks against Goals,
    • Does Event Logistics,
    • Provides Certificates or Other proof needed by volunteers.
    • Coaches person through planning of events
    • Coordinate with Treasurer for fundraising events as sub-treasurer: acquisitions and gets supplies for events and snack bar
  5. Director of Public Relations
    • Draft Communications about Fundraisers for distribution in print, social media, email, and on the web site.
    • Methods may include any of the following: Face-to-Face, Announcements before and after classes, Email, Facebook, Twitter, Web Site, Marquee Signage, Bulletin Boards, Flyers
    • Shall be the primary responsible adult to coach and supervise the youth ambassadors.
  6. Director of Business Outreach
    • Works with local businesses to sponsor events and donate money, goods, and services.
    • Works with businesses in the area to share the CHAGI spirit.
  7. Director of Marketing
    • Works with local businesses to sponsor events and donate money, goods, and services.
    • Works with businesses in the area to share the CHAGI spirit.
    • Works with Director of Public Relations to create marketing materials such as fliers, posters, etc. to communicate information about events and CHAGI to the community.
  8. Youth Ambassador
    • Work with young students in the Dojang to encourage participation.
    • Work with and within the storm team to embody the spirit of CHAGI.
    • Work with youth in the community to educate and encourage charitable efforts.
    • Youth ambassadors (under 16) will be paired with an adult to execute a goal/objective/event/intent of CHAGI.
  9. Director At-Large
    • The Term of a Board Member At-Large shall be one year.
    • Can perform the duties of the Chair.
    • Shall coordinate activities of CHAGI with other Board Members and members defined in Article III of the Constitution.
    • Assist in the health & well-being of fellow Directors through mutual aid and the sharing of duties.
  10. Hero of CHAGI
    • The term of Hero of CHAGI is lifetime.
    • Can be elected to any office of the Board of Directors.
    • Can preside in the absence or the inability of the Chair.
    • Can perform any activities, duties, and responsibilities as designated by a Board Member or Chair.

CHAGI is not just the board, it is the people in our community that share our vision of making our community (PKSA Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County) a better place.
